Miss Lucys (693-5244) offers beachside dining with
delicious West Indian side dishes. With the exception of Monday
Lunches and dinners are served throughout the week. Sunday
mornings they offer brunch with live jazz and once a month
they have a full moon party with music and dancing.
Shipwreck Landing (693-5244) This open aired restaurant
& bar serves dishes ranging from hamburgers and fries
to fresh local fish and delicious juicy steaks. Be sure to
ask for their Bushwhacker, a decadent blender drink that tastes
much like a milkshake but definitely made for adults. Often
there is music in the evenings and sometimes a jamming session.
While you are at Shipwreck Landing be sure to visit the shops
there ... you will find original island wear, T-shirts screen
printed on location, and a variety of unique treasures to
keep or give as gifts
Island Blues, (776-8800) shore side restaurant &
bar, is open to the lively sea breezes. A small but varied
menu is offered including a great daily soup, sandwiches,
fresh and interesting salads and several daily specials. Ask
them about their music schedule too.
Sticky Fingers, across the road from Island Blues
has terrific BBQ. You can enjoy it on their mini-terrace or
take it home. Usually open from noon till 10pm.
Donkey Diner: Open at 8 for breakfast on Friday thru
Sunday. Very reasonable and very good. Wednesday and Friday
evenings it becomes the local pizza joint, serving a variety
of very tasty pizzas you can eat there on the back patio or
take back to the villa with you.
Skinny Legs Bar & Grill: (779-4982) You haven't
experienced the island if you haven't had one of Skinnies
famous burgers. This is one of the locals favorite spots for
food and fun.
Aqua Bistro in the new island complex next to Voyages
is about to open and promises to serve some delightful and
reasonable meals.
Love City Market: a small grocery & liquor store
with a broadening selection of frozen meats and fresh or frozen
vegetables.
Calabash Mini Market: a small grocery store with a
deli serving daily hot lunches.
Take your camera and drive up the mountain to the Bordeaux
lookout where you will enjoy the finest view of Coral Bay.
Also there you will find Chateau Bordeaux well known
for its spectacular views and fine gourmet meals. (776-6611)
and the store, Tutu Tango, featuring island made jewelry,
straw hats, sunglasses and many other intriguing items.
On your way to or from the North Shore beaches be sure to
stop for refreshments at Columbo's Cafe located directly
where Centerline Road and the North Shore Road meet. The sandwiches
are great and some say the smoothies are the best on the island.
In Coral Bay Connections at the Skinny Legs complex
is the place to go for all your communication needs. There
are two computers available for public use, phones, faxing
and mail service.
Also at the Skinny Legs complex are several unique shops
and galleries where you can find local art, wraps, T-shirts
and unique gifts. The Awl Made specializes in hand
crafted leather goods, Sysygys Gallery features mosaic
art, paintings, collages and more, all by local artists. Also
the Doghouse, Mumbo Jumbo, and the Jolly
Dog are great places to find island wear or gifts to take
home with you.
Next to Voyages and across the street from Island Blues is
the Paradise Warehouse where you can find many unique
imports from the south seas.
